Didn't have one until...
01-06: ATI Radeon Xpress 200M
06-08: nVidia GeForce 7950GX2
08-Present: EVGA nVidia GeForce 8800GT AKIMBO SSC

I'm currently trying to sell the 7950GX2. If anyone wants it, its $250 (plus shipping, I dunno how much that'll be). Only problem is, I don't have a box or anything for it. Anyone know what I should get to ship it? I know theres like, this special material/bag that I put the card in, but I dunno what it is/where to get it.

1. My mother's old Apple which didn't have a real video card. Everything was text and it used a 5.25" floppy.
2. I didn't care enough about the computer to even know about the video card. It was pre-voodoo though.
3. Voodoo (1)
4. SLI'd Voodoo 1 (I called it piggybacking)
5. Voodoo 3 (surprisingly expensive)
6. 32 MB integrated Intel GPU on an old Athlon mobo.
7. All in Wonder 9800 Pro
8. GeForce Go mobility 7900 GS in my current notebook.

Intel Integrated something(could barely run Halo)
Probably an Extreme, those things could barely render the OpenGL gears example without dying. The GMA line runs Halo on full settings with (for Halo on integrated graphics) a good framerate (17fps on fullscreen, 800x600 usually yields a constant 30.)

I ran Halo on a GMA 950 at 1280x1024 with everything turned up with 25-35 FPS. Not bad.

They sound too good to be true. Why is a 512mb 8800GT generally more expensive than a 512mb 9600GT? If that's just the retailers being idiots, then I'm definitely getting one of them.

http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=544&card2=557

When you set the core clock to 720 and mem clock to 1000, the difference really shows. For these clocks, its the EVGA 8800GT AKIMBO SSC (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130335&nm_mc=OTC-d3alt1me&cm_mmc=OTC-d3alt1me-_-Video+Cards-_-EVGA-_-14130335) ($200) and the ASUS 9600 GT TOP/HDTI/512M (http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=2&l2=6&l3=651&l4=0&model=2133&modelmenu=1) ($140). IMO, the $60 is probably worth it.
