Halo 2 Summary of what happens?

First off, I wasnt sure whether to put this in H2v section, I decided no incase some one doesnt realise what it is and gets spoiled by it.


Ok so, can you summarize what happens in Halo 2 and the ending? Gonna be playing Halo 3, and sorta havent played all of Halo 2 yet :eyesroll:

I actually liked halo 2. :/

But yeah. Elites join up with humans, only one prophet is left and is leading a forerunner ship straight to earth with the MC onboard, and earth has been decimated by Covenant. Also, the flood took over the prophet/covenant homeworld, with Cortana sitting inside, talking to a telepathic giant plant that controls the Flood.

Someone probably has made it already.

I'll give a level-by-level quick detail.

-Commander of the fleet on the first Halo is being labeled as a heretic, all covenant hate him. MC is being given awards for what he did there. A small covenant fleet attacks the station he's on. Repels boarders, follows a single ship that made it past blockade to Earth.
-Single ship has Prophet of Regret, one of the three leaders of the Covenant. He battles through alleys, streets, and bridges to get to it. At the end, the ship begins to jump in the middle of the city. MC gets on a human ship that follows the jump.
-The commander is turned into the Arbiter, to regain his glory in a final suicide mission to kill heretics near the first Halo. He basically goes on a gas mines, battles heretic grunts and elites, and encounters flood at the end. The arbiter also finds 343 guilty spark when battling the heretic leader. 343 is taken back with the covenant.
-Human ship jumps comes out of slipspace, they see another Halo ring. MC drops onto it, and goes to a large temple thing where the Prophet of Regret is, and kills him. Also, a huge covenant fleet and high charity (basically the covenant mothership) jumps in and destroys the temple where MC killed Regret.
-Elites are replaced by Brutes for the position of Honor Guards, or guards to the prophets, due to Regret's death. Arbiter is sent to get the index to start the "great journey", or basically activate the rings in the name of their religion. He fights mostly flood and sentinels, and at the end, fights Johnson and Captain Keyes daughter, to get the index. Then the brutes take it from him and kick the Arbiter into a pit, 300 style.
-A flood create called Gravemind saved MC and Arbiter. He convinces the arbiter that the great journey is a lie, and that they need to get the Index back and stop them from starting the rings. MC is teleported to High Charity, where he follows the Prophet of Truth, the biggest leader in the covenant. While there, the original human ship was infected with flood, crashes into High Charity, all the while Brutes and Elites fight each other. Truth gives the index to the brute leader, Tartarus, while Truth goes into a large, Forerunner ship in the middle of High Charity to head to Earth. Cortana stays behind in High Charity, to detonate the human ship if the ring fires, just like in Halo 1. MC follows Truth, and gets in the ship as it takes off.
-The arbiter is sent to the control room of the Halo. He meets up with other elites, and they try to get a scarab to break into the control room. They accidently free Johnson at the same time, but they make a truce, and go to break into the control room. There, Tartarus uses Cpt. Keyes's daughter to start to activate the Halo, but the Arbiter kills him, and they get the index out before it activates and kills everything.

In the end
-Huge covenant fleet at Earth, and MC is there as well.
-All Halos on standby, ready to fire from "The Ark".
-Elites and Humans have a truce.
-Cortana is trapped at High Charity, which is now flood infested.


There you go. All you really need to know is the end, but you can read through the level-by-level thing to know how it happens.
