View Full Version : UVW unwrapping not acutually unwrapping.

Its pretty obvious whats wrong when you look at the picture.

( i tried to use shot tag but it when i do it says the page doesn't exist...)

You have it set on plane and you need to uncheck Normalize Map.

Edit: Wait, you have Normalize Map off right? If so, disregard the last part of my message.

I don't know where either of those options are... All i know about UVW Unwrapping is how to flatten the mapping and how to drag the texture coordinates to the right places.


Let me explain though. All the doors in this level have the same geometry and so i wrapped the first door and saved the uvw's to a .uvw file and the i loaded the uvws on to the next door. The door is wrapped on the coordinate window but in the view port (and in game) its messed up.

You see that black square? That's where you need to put your UVs.

Nvm. I made a mistake and it was selecting the wrong door frame UV when i was trying to re-import the .uvw file.
Thx anyways though.
