Seems somewhat fake, personally. It could be real, but seriously, I've been reading things like Popular Science, and people are now just starting to create robots with a single aspect of human design, like voice, movement, strength, etc., but this is just "oh hai we've created a human robot in three years"

It's both very cool and scary at the same time. It's cool that they have gotten this far, but to see something like that, which isn't human, but looks exactly like one, is the "scary" part.

I cant help but thinking about that Lucy Liu episode in Futurama. But yes, this is a great leap and bound for androids. Ghost in the Shell and Japanese sex dolls come even closer to synonymy.

e: It disturbs me how they advertise it to be "the perfect woman." Call it a dirty mind, but I really think they're trying to push this as a replacement for real human companionship in every aspect. I mean every aspect.

The relationship part of the robot would probably be the most awkward part of it all... Seriously, it's a machine, not a human, and it probably wouldn't...react in the same way.

This is perverted of nature in two ways:

1. As poley_bearie said, it looks like they're trying to replace women.
2. They can come alive and KILL US ALL!

It starts out that way but then the idea will come into their heads: We can dominate and control to world if we make them into a secret battle/oppression bot with just one simple firmware update! :haw:
