I'm trying to export this rigged biped I have. I imported the chief's bones (as biped bones) using gbximporter v2, and then did the rig. Now when I try to export my rigged model with bluestreak, I get the error "Runtime Error: Exceeded the vertex weight list countSkin:Skin".

I can't figure out what needs to be done to fix. Any thoughts?

Not sure... you might have too many bones rigged to one vert. Go down in the skin modifier (forget where it is exactly) and set the max bones to be rigged to 2, or something like that.

Oh. It said I had 3 assigned to one node but ignored it. But if it requires the bone effect limit (?) set to 2 to fix that, it doesnt work. checking for vert now.

In the skin modifier in max scroll down to advanced properties and set the 'Bone Affect Limit' to 2.

Could it possibly have anything to do with the fact that I imported bones? I had the same error when trying this before, but last night I made a rig with max's bones (and a few I couldnt get rid of), successfully exported, deleted uneeded nodes and reordered the nodes in guerilla, and my model was in a jumbled mess.

If you imported the bones, try adding "frame" in front of each of the bones' names. Make sure you make a back up of your old version though, if it doesn't work, it'll be annoying to have to go back through and delete frame from the name.

Nothing.

I tried reimporting the nodes, set the skin modifier to where it had the automatic evelopes to see if it would export. (also chaged thing to 2) I got the same error.

Try using blitzkrieg to export and use rec0's weight injector, that might work.

I gave up on that. I looked back on jahrain's tut for the old way, and found something too get rid of the toe nodes. I got an EVA in, now. :D Looks like crap at the joints cuz I was rushing, though. :x

Oh, you didn't have your toes gone? All you had to do using bluestreak was to hide them. :X

yeah, I tried deleting them in guerrilla before, but thanks.
