Chrono Trigger DS

Possible new dungeon and multiplayer. I might buy a DS just for this, (even though I should probably have one already). Definitely one of my favorite games of all time, and this is also pretty much the first Nintendo related thing I've really been excited for in, well, forever.

Way back when I lived with my dad I had a BUNCH of emulators, because that's how I occupied myself, and I played Chrono Trigger out of a stroke of boredom and I loved it! It was fantastic. I searched for Anime manifestations or sequel games but found none. Their was something about a ps1 sequel but I never looked into it. This is gonna be great though.

I agree that I might buy a DS for this :D

Check out Chrono Cross. It's a pretty amazing game, however it won't really feel like Chrono Trigger, which is the only downside.

You know what does feel like Chrono Trigger, however? Secret of Mana. Character design and battle control are reminiscent of CT.

.. Illusion of Gaia is also one of the best RPG's ever made. I'm really psyched about this DS version of Chrono Trigger. S-E is a bunch of has-beens, but at least they are showing some reason of shutting down all the Chrono fan-games.

I simply automatically disliked this game because of the fact that the Dragonball guy did the artwork. It just looked so incredibly tacky that I never picked it up.

I wasn't really into RPGs back when this came out... my friend wanted me to play it and I thought it sucked. But I've become a bit more open minded since then, so I might just pick up this DS incarnation.

I've never played this before, but I might check it out when it comes out. I also need more DS games, so chances are that I will get it.
