I've heard this is a common problem. I know other Quakes are better than this one but I wanted to give it a try because I got it for only 9 euros.

I've tried the most obvious ways to avoid this, like search for DLL files, play around on nVidia control panel under Q4 settings, run as adminstrator and run in Windows XP mode, disable all Vista stuff. I have the latest drivers for anything I have. I also got the latest Quake patch. The game complains about texture compression. What do I have to do? :S

I've tried the most obvious ways to avoid this, like search for DLL files, play around on nVidia control panel under Q4 settings, run as adminstrator and run in Windows XP mode, disable all Vista stuff. I have the latest drivers for anything I have. I also got the latest Quake patch. The game complains about texture compression. What do I have to do? :S
