I find it kinda odd that both the Wii and the PS3 have a browser on the system, but Microsoft, known for their OS's and web browsers... doesn't. I know the Wii and PS3 web browser isn't that good, but being able to pull up crappy youtube videos to make friends laugh would be kinda nice every-so-often.

Oddly enough, I'm more excited about being able to run my games at 1680 x 1050 then any of the other updates. Installing games to an HDD is nice, but I have a 20GB drive and don't feel like paying for anything bigger. The new UI looks nice, I could care less about the other things (avatars, etc.) except for the Netflix stuff. <3.

I personally didn't like gears of war, but I don't own a 360, or the game, I played it like once or twice, I didn't find it all that great. Gears 2 does look smoother, but something about it is still turning me away... idk, nothing to special in the Microsoft conference XD, thats all I watched so far, if there is even anything else yet to watch.

I didn't actually see the press conference nor read any articles about this, but it seems to me like you guys keep saying the new guide, which appears while you're ingame, which right now is those crummy tabs that come from the left and right of your screen, while the dashboard is the thing with the themes and the tabs. So is it just me, or are you guys getting all in a huff over losing the dashboard when that's not actually going away?

I like the new guide. It's way better than the old tabs that were attached to the side of the screen.

Nintendo Conference over. Here's the basics:

-Lots of people looking happy with their Nintendo products in a montage.
-VP of Sales & Marketing talks about her snowboarding in order to be a "cool" mom.
-Cue Shaun White Snowboarding, which uses the Wii Balance Board.
-Iwata makes remarks about how he's surprised that he sold a bunch of "bathroom scales" so successfully. (Alluding to Wii Fit.)
-Says Nintendo's trying to break down the barriers between hardcore gamers and others. Also assures us that Nintendo will still cater to the hardcore crowd (yeah, right)
-Games. Animal Crossing, Star Wars: Clone Wars (based off the animated movie coming out), Guitar Hero DS, Grand Theft Auto DS (:awesome:), some gadget which supposedly makes the Wiimote work better, and more Wii Sports.

I feel Nintendo had the weakest Conference this year, the smiling lady really annoyed me and i wanted to shoot her, and their announcements didn't make me surprised or Happy.

Sony on the other hand (coming in second place) made me smile with the LittleBigPlanet pretension, and the new footage of Resistance 2 was amazing.
But to top it of we got news of MAG, a 256 player game...wow!

Microsoft i feel had the strongest, showing off there brand new Live Experience which will enhance the Xbox 360 coming this Fall, aswell as some gorgeous game play from Gears of War 2, Fallout 3 and Resident Evil 5. I'm also looking forward to Lips, never really wanting 'Singstar' on the PS-W/E, i'll definatly be buying this for those drunken nights of karoke...Webcam anyone? ahahahha!

Overall E3 has been good so far, im looking forward to the 30min solo game 'hands on' sessions starting now with Resident Evil 5, And over the next 2 days we will see:
Fallout 3, Killzone 2, Mirror's Edge, EndWars, Tomb Raider Underworld, Prince of Persia, SPORE, Far Cry 2, Halo Wars, Rock Band 2, Fable 2, LOTR Conquest, Crysis: Warhead, Too Human, Dawn of War 2 and many more.

Honestly though, I've read such different information from various sources its hard to know what to believe. For one, most sites have kids ranting that all this was planned, featured in the source code for the site, etc, and are drawing conclusions from various bits of information gathered from both the B.net splash page that went up as well as the hype-sites Bungie likes to create. They said their goal for Warhead was that a $600 PC can run it. The game is not finished until they can do that.

That's definitely an excellent goal. The reason why Crysis and UT3 probably didn't do so well is "Wow, that looks awesome. Too bad my non-uber machine can't run it."

the dude from farCry2 said that they were able to run it at full settings on a Pentium 4. Obviously the final wont be that good but it shows that they've done a good job so far. It looks great though.

I was watching that too, but I don't remember him saying it was ran on full settings. Just ran on a Pentium 4, 6800 nvidia card.

I may be wrong though.:)

It definitely wasn't full settings. Which is weird at first, but then when you remember that the point of Crysis:Warhead is optimization,; showing that you can get decent settings and a med-end machine is more important.

My pc is about 500$ and It can run crysis at medium settings with 30+ fps
I love mushroom clouds in that game ^.^
I think that more games should have optimization, It would create a bigger market aswell, considering that the group of people with a pc that could handle the game would be bigger.
