Starting with a role in the development of Half-Life 2: Episode Three.

About time. When I finished it, I thought "This guy has to work for Valve. This is much better than Narbacular Drop."

His combine underground facility designs would really fit with the combine architecture that we've seen in the concept art so far.

:awesome:

I'm still wondering why he wasn't hired before this, seeing as his levels are better than most of Valves.

I am oh-so-jealous.
Mad props for sticking with it and producing stunning levels. He earned this. :)

Well they were probably intimidated and wanted to see what their own map designers could do. I guess after careful consideration, they had no choice but to buy him out. Not that this is a bad thing :D

On the contrary, I'm expecting Ep3 level design to be phenomenal. :D

I always kind of thought that the Minerva levels were kind of short, but I'm assuming that's not going to be an issue with Episode 3. This is awesome.

it's an incredible accomplishment to work for valve and a real feather in his hat.
Having that on the resume will help get you work just about anywhere.

Yes. It is the best single player mod EVER. (http://www.hylobatidae.org/minerva/)

Or at least in terms of atmosphere and plot. Every other mod out there is just making the single player wacky or hard. This is a work of art.

I played Minerva from beginning to end last night (for the second time) and I would definitely say that it is the best single player mod out there.

The flow of the first Minerva level kind of reminds of Silent Cartographer's outdoor stretches.

Finally got around to DL'ing it today. I'll play it when I have a chance (really looking forward to it). :)

Reminds me of when Nitrousoxide got hired by Bungie for great justice.

Do it.

I barely felt like playing HL2 or any of its episodes more than twice, but I've played through Minerva probably 5 times now.

He was working on H2V.

See:

(Halo 2 Vista Developers group).

He also made a couple maps for the release... Probably the best user created ones yet tbh.

Was that for Halo 2 CE or after he joined Bungie?
