3ds max 8 problems

I am currently having troubles with installing 3ds max 8, when I finish installing it I attempt to launch the application that is now on my desktop, and I get an error looking for "acge16.dll" but when I download it off google and place it in the 3ds max folder, it just doesn't help. Any ideas?

i've used google alot, trust me

nothing seems to work

anyway now im getting a different error "entry point not found"
