So here is my scenario:
I have a Linksys Bfser41 v2 router *piece of shit*. It decreases my connection to a crawl.
I currently have a 6Mbps down, 384Kbps up connection.
I am looking into 10Mbps down, 1Mbps up.
What router will be able to hold those speeds, without much decrease in speeds.
I will have 1 PC, 1 360, and a Server/PC connected to it.
Any help would be highly appreciated *+REP*

I've got the first generation D-Link Gaming router (DGL-4500 I think) and I love it, works perfect for my 7/512 connection now and ran my 15/2 line perfect.
The only problems with it are that the LED's are so bright you can blind yourself, seriously, but if you don't blind yourself they are pretty damn cool, and then my mom's laptop seems to have a problem connection from her room, I think it's just out of range but I'm not sure. Other than that, I've had perfect experience with it and recommend it to anyone.

Blue LED's are the brightest shit ever. Speakers with blue LED's, monitor with blue LED's, and now my fucking D-Link N Router has one. I was in a dark room and noticed that there was a button...it's a button :D so I pushed it. Out of it came the brightest fucking blue LED on the top of it that I've ever blinded myself with.

I don't know about you guys, but my experience with D-Link has been resoundingly negative. I only trust Linksys now, after trying several different brands of routers :/

It's hit or miss with most routers. I've heard bad things about all of em and good things about a quarter of them. I prefer D-Link since it just works most of the time and if it doesn't. Well just pull the plug for 10 seconds and plug it back in. It always works. One of my old Linksys routers took a shit on itself real bad. It actually started smoking in an open room. Weird, eh? After that I used a Wireless B D-Link(DI-514) for some years and it worked really well until a month and a half ago when it's signal would fail to even leave the router for hours at a time. D-Link Wireless N (DWL-615) fixed that. That router is simply PERFECT. Absolutely no problems and easier to set up than taking a dump.

The DI-514? Shit sucks. That thing needed a power cycle every other day and was such an annoyance. Replaced it with a DGL-4300 around two years ago and don't recall the last time it needed a power cycle. Oh and the fact that uploading stuff didn't make my ping skyrocket anymore is awesome.

What are your views on the following:
Linksys WRT54GL
Linksys WRT330N Gaming Router
Linksys WRT350N
Linksys WRT600N
And I have considered:
D link DGL-4500 & 4300.

If you want to save a little money over the previous ones listed you should check out this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127215
It has all the features you actually need, and you aren't paying for the "gamer edition" title. I've been running one for a few months now, works GREAT.
I had a DI-514 until I got this one, it was "Okay".

So I bought the WRT54GS v7. It was $54.99 and it's all I need. It runs great with this connection and I'm sure it will with the 10Mbps down.
Thanks for the help guys, damn I love this forum.

I like how everyone recommended D-Link, then you bought a Linksys :gonk:.

I've used/installed several Netgear routers in the past with no issues, all of them have survived to the present. A lot of people seem to not like Netgear stuff but I have never had any issues with them.
EDIT: Meh, late xD.

Well, it was right in front of my face at the local store. So instead of paying $5-10 dollars shipping, I went with something that had great ratings and saved me a bit of money.
*I couldn't resist the urge :p*
Although, I have took into consideration the routers you guys suggested. If this one doesn't work out, I will take it back, and buy a dlink.
EDIT- OH IM A REBEL. :-3

I dislike Netgear, I used to have an old router by them (before we got the D-Link 5-14) and it would OVERHEAT, WTF! It's a router, it's not supposed to overheat.

I have:
5mbps down.
512kbps up.
It's was not handling massive amounts of information at the time, since I didn't host a server at the time.
