Anyone who has HBO should really watch this...It's like Band of Brothers but with more modern warfare. And two of the marines in the series are actual marines who took part in the First Recon Battalion. It is also fucking hysterical.

Great series. Did a good job portraying the shit these guys had to put up with, and the trigger happy retards that make up a scary portion of our military. Over all great show. For anyone else who watched it, here's the article the reporter from the show, Evan Wright, wrote. From what I've read so far it stayed pretty true to the article.

Canada originally went in to Afghanistan wearing TW CADPAT (http://www.kamouflage.net/camouflage/00007.php) as well, that was because of the fact that we didn't HAVE anything else at the time though... U.S. had no excuse for sending soldiers in with faulty gear.

I've only watch Episode 1-5 so far, s far my favorite characters are Brad "Iceman" and his driver, I can't remember his name, the one that's always hyped up on that energy shit.

I laughed really hard in episode 5 or 6 when Ray was like "more like Trombley?....MORE LIKE TROMBLEY!!!?" and everyones like "Whopper Jr. Whopper Jr.".

Trombley was so fucked up, however I'd rather be in a squad with a physio on my team than on a team with incompetent command. Just finished watching Episode 7, didn't expect that kind of ending at all... I'd say this was a pretty good series, not one of the best, but it was worth watching.

In my opinion it's definitely one of the top shows. They made a very entertaining and intriguing show while staying so close to the real events that even some of the dialog was verbatim
