I want to test my PC's ability to make run a server, but in the past it's never worked. So I've played around with some PC settings and I want to test if I can run a server now.
It will be named spartans_108_server
The map (for the test) will be CMT_Snow_Grove
You will need 1.08 to play it.
It should be up in 5 minutes (I'll use my iTouch to edit this post to tell you when it is up).
Can anyone help me test it?

Sure... Why not... I'm on a very unique network setup right now, if you can run with me on there, you should be able to run with anyone.
More details:
I'm at a 500+ person LAN party right now, and Shaw is providing us with a (I'm guessing) 50 mbps up/down connection. I was getting 34 ping to MY server last night, and it's like 350 KMs away.

Well I actually took it down before I posted the "thanks" comment, then I put back up my firewall, so yeah.
Server Down. Thread Closed.

I found another firewall that I missed last time I tried to host a server. I am trying again. The server is named "testserver_plz join for 1sec", and the map is cmt_snow_grove.

I'm pretty sure you didn't forward ports through your router... (if you have one)
if not then let it go through your firewall by making it an exception in the settings.
Also if that still doesn't fix the error then you need to make sure that you are running it as an administrator (Vista just right click, XP get on an administrator account).
Also for more help please check out my guide hosted at halomaps.org search supersniper halo ce dedi guide.

I hooked up a different PC, and have made all the port exceptions needed, so I'd like another go at this. Anyone want to help me test it? I'll post when the server is actually up.
Same server details as my first post.
Edit: I tested it with someone else and it failed. I will close again.

Well, I think I found the issue. I finally got the firewall on my Router to work like it is suppose to. I have a PC that is just sitting on and never doing anything, so I want to see if I can run a dedi off of it. I need to test if I actually finished the problem though, and I am too lazy to plug in my other computer to test it that way.
Server Name: testingcrap
Map: Bloodgulch
The test server should be up in a couple of minutes. It will not be a dedi, Im just testing my firewall.
Edit: Test server is up, gogogo.
Edit: Server is down. I'm just going to test it myself.
