A short explanation on how this is supposed to work:
The user attaches the magazine, then pulls the ring on the magazine, releasing the bullets into the feed, where they are picked up by the sprocket and rotated into firing position in succession. The bolt cycles, pushing each round into the chamber from the sprocket, and recoiling, returning the spent casing to the sprocket and rotating the next round into position. Spent casings exit the sprocket on the other side via the ejection port. Additionally, there is an ambidextrous charging handle on the opposite side of the weapon.
The magazine spring is wound for easy loading using the lever seen on its front, which is connected to the spring by a small gearbox whose gears spin in opposing directions, fully winding the spring clockwise when the lever is turned 180 degrees counterclockwise into its "load" position. The magazine is also fitted with carry handles.

Ditched the belt for linkless mag feed. The mag's going to be a drum next time you see it.

I love this no poly limit business. I modeled the rifling on the barrel :awesome:

Continuing the "putting belted ammunition in things that should never have them" theme...

Cartridges are pulled through by a rotor and loaded into the chamber by the bolt, which strips the linkage (somehow), fires the cartridge, and recoils backward, returning the casing to the rotor, which rotates when the bolt is fully returned, bringing the next cartridge into position and depositing the spent cartridge out of the gun on the other side.

Reminds me of this. The belt is pretty funny too, by the way.

Your work always reminds me of Battlefield 2142 for some odd reason, ExAm.

PDW = personal defence weapon
Sidearm generally = emergency personal defence weapon or backup weapon

If your using it to defend yourself, are you really going to have the time to set up a belt fed weapon?

Not that I care. :downs:
