Recently I have tried to re extract a custom sound that I have seem to lost from one of my previous map builds. I compile again in a different map and when I use this weapon all I hear is static
I have hek plus 12-7-06 v1.0.3.0 so did they ever release an update to fix this problem?

I believe that is the newest build of HEK+. Have you tried extracting it again? HEK+ can fuck up tags sometimes and you have to extract again.

No I havent tried re-extracting the tags. Ill try to delete the tags and re-extract them when I get home
Edit: I re-extracted the sound tags and still get static. I try to play them in guerilla and the editor just crashes.

If its based on Halo 2 Sounds (Like battle rifle or carbine) It's ALWAYS going to do it. The same thing happened to my phantom, the turrets projectiles made a static noise when I tried using the original phantom shoot sound. The editor crashed.
The only solution I have found would be to remake the sound.

Now that I think about it I did use the battle rifle sound for the reload and maybe the smg sound for the shot =P anyone have the sounds for these guns because the one's on halomaps don't sync right.
