Why Is Everything Slow?

I fowarded my ports and now i can host on halo PC and CE but now ALL my games not only halo are getting like 5-120FPS
i know this by hitting cntrl + F12

but since its going up and down really fast it causes warping and lag ETC

and i just installed SP1 for vista hoping it would fix the problem
can anybody help me fix this problem?
also everyone told me forwarding my ports shouldnt make my games lag or anything ethier...

P.S. i did a virus scan and found a trojan then id elted it and it still lags

any ideas?

Could be a driver issue, or a vista issue, for me, vista made the game lag alot, by atleast a 30fps drop.

im useing SUPERantispyware to scan

and ive had vista for awhile i just upgraded to vista ultimate about 1 month or 2 ago and it was fine then so i dont think vista is the problem and i just updated my drivers about 1 week ago

Just so you know, forwarding ports has absolutely no connection to what FPS you get ingame.

yes thats what my friend said too

but i said that because thats when i started getting the lag

i just installed AVG and it detected 3 trojans :O
im gonna let it finsh but what is shocking me soooo much is where the trojan came from...

it came from FRAPS :O
and ive had FRAPS for a long time now and itnvr had a trojan...

how did the trojan get there?
