Well in my Essay Writing class we now have started a research paper and the topic I picked was 3D computer design (3D rendering, 3D animation, 3D Modeling)
Well I have my 3 main points but I was wondering what I could include as more information about 3D computer design.
I started to talk about different ways to model such as polygonal, UV mapping etc...
I talked about radiosity and wireframe for rendering, I talked about Pivoc's stick figure animator (just for laughs) for animation but I can't help to see that I'm missing something...
(Picked this topic so I have a reason to research about 3d modeling and help me start mapping, I'm such a procrastinator)
Help appreciated.

Its pivot.

Yeah it was a typo it's pivot. Anyways should I add in something about game play editors and explain what's it's use for? What about what kind of jobs this topic is used for?

All I have is a rough outline right now we started the paper last thursday.

What are your 3 points?

Point one is about 3D Modeling, and what it's used for.
Point two is about 3D Animation, and what it's used for.
Point three is about 3D Rendering, and what it's used for.
Then under modeling I talk about which programs are for modeling (3ds max, gmax, maya) then I talk about Polygonal modeling, UV mapping, etc
Under animation I explained above.
Under rendering I talk about the importance of radiosity, and the purpose of wireframing, and clay meshing.
Now I need to know what am I missing.
Also should I talk about texturing under rendering or bring that out as another main point.

Stick that with UV mapping

If you're doing this as your topic so you'll start learning how to model, you're going to be way over your head.
The only way you're going to pull off this paper to standards that will have you pass the assignment is to cover the following:
Modeling techniques
- Vertex
- NURBS
Modifiers and Animation
Lighting and Rendering Teqniques
For modeling techniques, you're going to want to explain how vertex and NURBS modeling works and is different from one another. You'd also want to touch on why you would use one over the other. Cover how texturing works on both. Ignore textures in the rest of the paper and assume everything has no texture.
In modifiers and animation, talk about all the nifty things you can do to like bed, smooth, displace, fur, cloth, etc. Cover rigging and how it can be used to deform mesh in the form of animation. Talk about why this is beneficial (basically say it's easier to move one object than all of them). It is basic and relatively stupid to the content covered in here, but discuss why you would want to animate something. If you're anything like me, you'll wind up short on the word count for the research project.
In lighting and rendering, cover the different ways you can light a scene. From there, discuss several different rendering methods. You can talk about materials (specular, diffuse, normal/bump/paralax), radiosity, etc.

Do an outline.
BT: Design
NT: 3D Computer Design
SD1: Modeling
SP1: (Give information on how to model, programs, etc)
SD2: Animation
SP2: (Same information)
SD3: Rendering
SP3: (Same)
Working Thesis Statement: (Come up with something) Something like, there are many types of design, computer design is one of the leading fields, or some bs.
Supporting detail's are done but you need points, things you'll discuss in your paragraphs. Then think of a thesis statement.
Edit: Nevermind.
