So I was completely overworked all day. I come home and try to play some Halo 3, but of course my stupid fucking cat knocks over my 360 and it destroys the game. My sister ate all my fucking ice cream and drank all my sodas while I was at work, and I have another day of this horse shit tomorrow.

I'm calling in sick Thursday.

That sort of this is bound to happen and who knows if it could hurt your console as well.

Mine isnt 100% secure, but it cant completely tip over, it can sorta lean a little bit.

Although when I lightly (accidentally) tapped it with my foot, it began to tear up my disc. Perfect ring-shaped holes on the bottom were cut into the disc. I was pissed.

Exactly. Although I was told by microsoft support when I called in about my xbox breaking that they recommend that you lay them down anyways cause when they are in the upright position things inside can get damaged. Whether or not that's true, I keep mine laying down at all times.

My 360 has stood straight up the day I took it out of them box. NEVER had a problem with it. The only problem I have with it is when I sit it on the carpet, it basically suffocates and RROD's. Turn it off, set it on the table for like 3 minutes. She's up and running again.

I've never had a problem either. I always have my ceiling fan on, and either the AC running or a window open (pending the time of year), and it sits vertically next to my TV on the far side of my room where nobody but those using the system ever have to go.

I think when you stand the 360 upright, theres less pressure on the disk tray. A few of my friends who lay their 360's down have gotten their disks scratched up, but I stand mine upright and have never had any problems.
