I still have like, 2 giant boxes of them. Of course, this was when I was a wee youngin', back when there weren't colors other than the primary/secondary colors.

Nicely done.

Interception by the Combine Officer! It's been way too long since I've played with my legos. Gotta bust them out some time.

I know it seems like it should be the opposite, but if you don't like legos, you're a faggot.

nice! probably the best minifig-size Hornet I've seen. Only thing is..too many studs tbh. Slap some tiles on that bird!

also,

I had a thread dedicated to my shit ton of Star Wars Lego sets, but all the image links are broken because my IP changed and I no longer host an HTML server from home...

those bionicles are weird but cool (still made by lego so its on topic), maybe someone could make a scarab out of bionicle parts, that'd be cool

I'm a complete Lego purist too (no copy companies, no paints, no glue, no part modification) but these were too cool to ignore. I am proud to say the rest of my collection is made up of 100% authentic LEGO products. :D I was thinking about buying the custom M6D and MA5B, but I was like ehhh not real Lego not worth it.
and any mega bloks are stashed in some corner or given away, those things are terrible

those bionicles are weird but cool (still made by lego so its on topic), maybe someone could make a scarab out of bionicle parts, that'd be coolTechnically they're Technic (which is definitely Lego), none of those parts are Bionicle specific. I could totally see a mixed Technic/System Scarab though but getting all that purple will be tough.

And for those who don't have a Lego collection (any more?), check out http://ldd.lego.com/
You can buy your models too!

Advancebo

What he means by "buy your model" is that you create it in Digital Designer, then you can upload it to lego.com, then you can order that model with real legos from the lego company. they will send it to you through mail.
or
you can print out directions and the parts you need from the Designer, then buy or look for the lego pieces you need

That program is missing a LOT of pieces... Cool anyways, though.

Alwin Roth
October 26th, 2008, 02:02 PM
i like the program, but i barely use it, its more fun to actually play with legos in real life.

Stormwing
October 26th, 2008, 05:05 PM
Well they don't have Lego's FULL inventory of parts, imagine the infrastructure(?) needed to supply all of those.

I only use it when I'm trying to make things/experiment with parts that I don't have.

Well MEGA BLOCKS got the license to make Halo Wars sets and... they're an abomination.

Alwin, your Hornet is a hell of a lot better than this:

What I don't get is why lego didn't do this.

They have a very specific rule about making lego guns: No weapons made in the 20th century.

I've always hated megablox and I'm not going to stop hating them now :<
