I think that's the blue channel of the biped's gbxmodel's shader's multipurpose map

The Alpha channel of the multipurpose is the color change map for Halo PC.

And setting a color for an AI is done within the .actor_variant tag.

It's the blue channel in the multipurpose map for the xbox. Evidently, the CE version is different. I myself have gotten multipurposes to work across the blue channel in CE, but others say they only get it working in the alpha channel.

Isn't the blue channel the specular map? And I use the alpha for color change.

could the multipurpose map make a shader invisable? I have an idea for a double biped, that would be possible if so. With 2 pairs of fp arms, could one pair be made invisable via the multipurpose map?

Visibility is handled by the diffuse map's alpha, and the shader has to be a transparent chicago, chicago extended, or glass for varying levels of visibility. Model and environment shaders can only have full or no opacity iirc.

(Anyone who knows more feel free to correct me, been a while since I did this.)
