View Full Version : COD: World at War or Gears of War 2

Which one should I get. Yes COD in my opinion is better than Gears of War but, I don't see the benefit of buying another world war 2 call of duty game... but on the other hand Gears of War 2 has had great reviews and I really enjoyed playing the first one. Which one should I get? Which one is better, which one has more positives than negatives?

Oh god I can see the WaW flames now. GoW2 is tha better choice imo....

Hmm. That first post seems 50% wrong (COD>GoW) 50% correct(WWII=MILKED!).

In any case, Gears 2 will be the refreshing choice. I played COD5 for a couple hours at my friend's house today. To be honest, it's quite a piece of shit. Wait for the real COD: Infinity Ward's game next year. I played Gears 2 at the same friend's house last Friday and I can tell you it's a lot more fucking Epic than the first Gears. Now you got big battlefields and more soldiers n shit.

The only WW2 game I have is the first COD, but that's for the PS2. So I would prefer COD5 over Gears 2 for the simple reason that I kinda want a WW2 shooter I can play online.

If you've ever played Gears 2 online you'd never go back to any WWII game. There are numerous other WWII games you can play online. Where'd you get the idea that there weren't any others?

I didn't; I just liked COD4, and COD5 has the same feel but in a WW2 setting.

Didn't like the WaW beta at all. I'd go for Gears 2.

Okay, after playing another 5 hours of COD5 it's safe to say that you'd be an idiot to buy it over Gears 2.

I just rented Gears 2 from blockbuster and it was amazing, when I scrap up some more money I'm getting it. Thanks guys.
