Hey yo,
I'm not that great an modeling or animating. Me and a few friends have been selected to do a robotics animation for the animation team. Anyway, we have a penguin in the scene, my friend modeled it. He basically used a bunch of simple objects and put them together. It's nothing amazing, but it looks pretty good for how simple it is.

Anyway, it was my job to put in the biped and get him walking. I'm 99% sure I did everything correctly, put the biped in figure mode etc. I was under the impression that I could just group the penguin together before I initiaized the biped into the penguin.

Well every time I apply physique to the penguin, and click the initialize button, before I can click the COM of the biped, the initialized button is not selected any more. Even if I try and click the COM anyway, it just selects it.

I have no idea really what to do. Grouping them, or leaving the penguin un grouped, applying a editable mesh.. idk, it just doesn't seem to work. I'm probably missing something really simple.
I'm using 3dsMax 2008.
Any help appreciated!

Thanks!
