God I thought I would never use another meme....

Anyway, I just noticed that most youtube videos are in WIDESCREEN FORMAT, HOLY DAMN.

That's awesome...

and if you want a taste of some HD Widescreen...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnYyjwVWeHk&fmt=22
Dunno how to embed widescreen...and just look at the quality, not about the...thing...damn

Yes there's a &fmt=22 but don't be so giddy about it.

Oh hey It's only 3 days old...good enough.

Yeah, I noticed that when I clicked on my H3 AR Reload animation. The video itself wasn't stretched, but there were black spots and I was like 'wtf.'

While this is Great for you AmeriFagz it sucks horrendous wang for me, n00b, ross, Dano and Timo due to internet restrictions that have come about from a useless company controlling the Lines around the country and buying out-of-date Equipment and marketing it as NEW and AWESOME and charging through the pooper for it in the few isolated regions it actually covers.

The Max i can get is 8mb, however only 2mb of the 8 that i paid for will actually reach my door due to the poor, useless, out dated piece of shit they call a network.

how da fuk do you get your videos to be full quality? &fmt=22 does nothing on the two I uploaded.

Wow. This is quite the change for a website that has traditionally been seen as one of the lowest, if most common, form of video sharing. Now not only will videos be widely seen, they'll be seen in the quality they deserve.

You know what I just realized? That video takes up 80% of my CPU. When I go fullscreen, it takes up 100% of my CPU, leaving the video choppy and unbearable. Anybody else having the same problem? Chances are I'm the only person in this thread with a single core...

Two words: Google Chrome.
While it didn't completely remedy the choppiness, it still was a lot smoother than Firefox and definitely IE.

&fmt=22 has worse quality sound than &fmt=18

Observe:

Faraway So Close - Deafening Street

&fmt=18 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?q=d&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&v=2SBdClf1Aco&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.google.ca%2Fvideosearch%3F client%3Dfirefox-a&channel=s&fmt=18)

&fmt=22 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?q=d&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&v=2SBdClf1Aco&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fvideo.google.ca%2Fvideosearch%3F client%3Dfirefox-a&channel=s&fmt=22)

Our Story - Dave Thomas

&fmt=18 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn6c1u_T_HI&fmt=18)

&fmt=22 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn6c1u_T_HI&fmt=22)

I believe the &fmt=22 thing only works correctly on videos recently uploaded.

That was uploaded 3 days ago, and it sounds fine.

So the two .wmv videos i've uploaded don't do anything with the 22 switch, but an xvid video did.

Sorry for the bump, but I didn't feel like making a new topic for this.

Just wanted everyone to know that Youtube has finally lifted the 10 minute limit on videos. Enjoy uploading your hour long porn videos.

Sorry, false information.

Really? Maybe I was wrong. It just that they removed the 10 minute file from the conditions when uploading, and I've been seeing people upload videos from 12 minutes all the way up to 50 minutes lately. Maybe it's only for director accounts again.

If you had to choose, would you rather have longer videos or fuggin HD videos?

You can chop up the HD videos to fit within the timeframes and into parts. Longer videos...

Xetsuei
December 18th, 2008, 06:06 PM
Have you guys seen the new high definition? The videos are much bigger and much better quality. Try this video and click "watch in HD", it should be about 850x480 in size.

Clear your browser's cache if that doesn't work.

I don't see too many videos in HD, I really don't. A lot of them still use the normal high quality. And fmt=22 does nothing D:.

I think you have to be in the partner program to upload long videos. IE: CharlesTrippy's longest YouTube video ever clocking in at 4 hours.
