View Full Version : Your Bucket List

Alright, dunno if we can make this a serious topic or not, but I'll give it a try. For those of you who don't know what this is, it's simply a list of things you want to do before you die. They must be possible by today's current technology, because no one knows what will happen when in the future.

Oh, and please no generic things like "Live a long life," or "Get married." That's pretty universal.

That said, this is a short list of mine:

- Aid in the creation of a major film
- Finish my short animation
- Surf til I'm no longer physically able
- Visit Australia
- Go storm-chasing
- Go sky-diving
- Create the storyline for a video game, and potentially develop it
- Get an Audi
- Try acting

I'll see if I can figure out more.

So much for this thread being serious :saddowns:

How would you go about appending ARM to your brain tho? I've never heard of it.

Adding a microcomputer to my head. An ARM-powered one, of course, have to consider power requirements and heat generation. And no brain-computer link is complete without some synaptic input system, and those have come a long way in the past few years.

And to all of you who are incapable of licking your own elbows - ha! Also, to anyone who quotes the dumbasses who say it's impossible, you belong in the same group as them.

Ever since I found out that Platypus venom causes the most extreme amount of pain a human can withstand without dying, I've always wanted to be poisoned by it. I have no idea why.

Work up the courage to finally ask out this girl I've known for years. Just this one thing and I could die happy. I don't even care about the answer.

hmmm...

-Go into outerspace or at least orbit the earth, anything space related really, I sometimes feel as if I was born in the wrong century.

-Snowboard till I am no longer physically able to, and one day get a heli ride for some backcountry carving. (maybe thats why I love snowboarding... I feel like its an adventure into the unknown)

-Make something amazing, or invent something amazing (anti gravity:D)

-Build my own house or at least design part of it.

-Help design/construct a large structure of signifigance. (not required but would be fuken awesome...)

-Travel outside the US (never been yet) Europe, Ireland, Germany, Greece, France, possibly india, even the Middle East, mostly for the experience but also to learn about the differences between US(stupid joke I know) and the rest of the world. Also Can't forget Australia, I need to go there someday.

-Visit the ruins of Machu Picchu (did a report for history on this place in like 5th grade and I still think the place is amazing) also do a still life sketch of the place while there.

-Try base jumping/sky diving at least once.

-Find a Women I can love forever (its corny, but idc...)

-Achieve some or most of the above without stepping on too many toes so that I may die happy with a clear conscience.

or

-Die saving someones life.

If theres one thing I learned over the past 2-3 months of my life, its stop wasting your fucken time, and just ask. No matter the answer, you'll be doing yourself a favor in moving forward with your life.

I wouldn't mind trying this either, sounds like an experience worth having and that a lot of people need.

The majority of people are too closed minded and only see their own pain, they need to learn to see the pain of others and how they can help each other.

E3(haha):
I can lick my elbow pics or it didn't happen XD

- Get an Audi

Damn, my parents just sold a 2005 Audi A6 to a Toyota dealer to get a Highlander Hybrid. Great deal too, it was in immaculate condition and sold for much less than a new one.

My list:

1. study in Stanford or Carnegie Mellon. I'll try for Harvard but...
2. Get a job in automotive engineering or medical science
3. Make enough money so that I can stop depending on my parents ASAP.
4. Go to the West Edmonton mall someday
5. Got to Dubai, UAE. I want to see the Burj-Al-Arab although I can't afford a room there.
6. Retire on Vancouver Island (not mainland BC). It's a beautiful place (and very peaceful).
