Guy named Chanology using a speedhack in a CE Death Island server.
I didn't think something like this was even possible, I figured all movement in Halo was server-based, not client-based. :confused2:

Hmm, I dunno, the bit at the start where he runs up the ramp, that looks like a speed hack, but then he falls off the edge and gets hurt or at least looks like it, then he suddenly appears above at the base. That could be lag, the game resetting his location.
Would have been nice to see his ping, and was he host?
Reminds me of Skylines speed hack, he was host but he could speed up/slow down any individual player, so if the guy your talking about was the host, he could have turned HIS speed up but left everyone elses at normal.

No he wasn't host, he joined later than everyone and had an average ping of around 100 or so. I think it may have been HCEL, I'm not sure, I was server jumping that night and didn't pay attention.

Admit what, that Pat stole my ideas for apps? Yes I admit that. Admit that I stole his idea for a speed hack? Wow, you relies that speed hacks were invented before you made it.
Also the fact you think you are the saviour of Halo, the Jesus, what a joke...

Seriously. Who cares? Speedhacks have been around for other games for a long ass time, so inventing one for CE was inevitable.

And who are you to jump in here accusing people? Regardless of what Limited says, always provide proof. It's not an issue though. Really, who would really want to use a speedhack? A lot of idiots but most people would get tired of getting the easy wins.

Ok we get it, no need to ramble on about this argument, if you must take it to PM's then.
But I am curious, is this really a speed hack or just bad connection? Because in the video it looks like he was speed hacking.

Its kinda hard to tell we need a vid of what a speed hack looks like to another person.

You've been whining to Skyline for like an hour how your pissed people steal your work and shit, why you moaning to Skyline when he hasnt taken anything? Talking shit like "'I've got my lawyer on the other end of the phone", you really think I'm scared by your childish and ignorant remarks? I dont want this to turn into a hate thread, your fighting with the wrong people, I feel the same way.
I think you should look further into what me and pat have done brandini, the whole issue between me and pat is in the past, we dont give a crap any more, we've moved on.
Anyways, onto the topic.
If your a client on a server, and another client uses a speed hack, nothing happens, they will experience lag (on their pc) however you will see them running normally. This is due to the fact a client can not change their speed throghout the server, its the whole server sided/syncing issue, nothing actually changes, just the attemptees pc will look like it changed.

It could have been that Zombies application that was released not too long ago. I 've been using that lately and one of the "enhancements" is altered speed to whatever increased/decreased rate you want.

It's a really neat app. I've tried it. It works well.

quiet honestly I myself have played in servers that chanology played in, the guy (in some servers not most, SOME servers) is someone who cries wolf or bashes on people or resorts to tactics that cause mostly everyon in the server frustration (i.e. jamming the teleporter room in failgrove with hogs, switching teams and doing it to the other team as well [true event BTW], which caused alot of complaining, even from me.)
so TBH, I wouldn't put it past chanology to use a speedhack
~if this offended anyone I apologize but this is my opinion and therefor should be regarded as such~

Version changer + 1.07 client = ubr hax.
1.00 has 1100 players right now. Why?
It's wierd isn't it? I occasionally jump into those games when I'm bored.
But yeah as Sevlag said, this Chanology guy is a known hacker/asshole/troll, which is why I'm fairly certain this isn't just a case of lag.

Quit making a fuss theres hackers if your not using the most up to date version, jeez I thought that was a no-brainer.
