Well a lot of you might remember the first time i did ghost boarding in july of 2007

That was nicely done. Is it possible to speed up the chief's boarding of the Ghost though? It looked like he was stuck there for a bit. Other than that, very nice job.

Its cool. he was kinda just chilling, but I assume thats jsut in animations right?

Aside from his animation itself being a tad slow, him being "stuck" is a result of switching to the ghost enter animation when the positions don't perfectly match up. Well, at least that's what I imagine the problem is, not sure if it's really that.

That's quite awesome, one of the best things I have seen for Halo CE.

Open sauce comes with a multi team vehicles feature. Two vehicles are no longer required. I did this shortly after os was released using h2 anims, looks good though killa.

Also, what exactly is different about this boarding script that makes it better? I'm a bit confused, all I noticed was he could jump this time, and the elite died when he kicked him.
Well, it's visually pleasing and it knocks off one more AI in an encounter, allowing the game to run smoother in some cases.

What do you plan to do with that hornet? And wasn't Contamination supposed to be released already?

The only reason i have that hornet is because i used to be the vehicle person in h3mt, id animate, make shaders, then put ingame.

Same here, the only little thing I could complain about it the Ghost turning off, then on again, but nothing can be perfect, and I know that doing it without that happening probably isn't very easy at all, if even possible. So, it's probably as good as it's going to get.

What would be cool, if instead of kicking the elite off, he shot it in the head, thus killing it, then boarded it.
Then, the delay there would be filled by the killing :)

Watch the Halo 2 E3 demonstration boarding. Also, in the early testing, the ghost didnt fall down a bit, but the timing was a bit off, i had him get in the ghost right after the elite was killed, but MC kinda snapped into the ghost due to the rest of the animation that happens after booting the elite out, i could have done it if i edited the animation, but really, it doesnt even fall to the ground half way, so i didnt look at it as that big a deal.

have the player be put in the vehicle right after the AI is killed\ ejected, with the editing of my animation.

I thought someone made an app without using Open Sauce that allowed for multi-team vehicles.

it uses 2 vehicles, but OS would make it even easier, if i knew how to use it

I still can't that to work >_>, I have my boarding script to, but without a external app or OS there's no way to test it.

There is an even easier way.

For the people that don't have Visual Studio installed:

1.Make a backup of your 1.08 haloce.exe.

2.Get a Hex Editor, go to Address 16A3B1 and replace the next 3 bytes (including the one at the address)with B3, 01, EB

3. Save, launch Halo and make a LAN server.

There should have been a little struggle action thing between the two players. Watching the player just knock him/her off of their vehicle. While the other player is defenseless looks dumb.

Just make it so that the elite(referring to the video) tries to grab the Chief before the Chief knocks him off. Instead of the elite just watch himself get knocked off.

Try to do this if possible.

its possible , but in going to do that for single player maps, most ghosts that i will allow you to board will have grunts or brutes, until then, i wont be making another video on it
