It's a mess, who is number one? Give your opinions. I say you can't deteremine it. But if I had to guess before thursdays game, I would chose a tie for Florida and Utah. It would be interesting to see the two play. I think the MWC is much better then people credit them.
K, lets hear your opinions.

The BCS is a horrible system. We don't need all these multiple champions and arguements of "how is the REAL National Champion?". The best possible way to determine a champion is through a playoff system.
They can agure all they want about every game meaning something and how all the teams have to battle it out to have a shot at a bowl game. Please, the NFL has been a successful league with its playoff system and I believe college football can gain even more popularity and credibility with having a playoff system to determine the champion.
And to be honest, the BCS is one of the main reasons why I have never been a huge fan of college football. College football is a real fun experience from what I've seen and heard and it's a shame that something so dumb has to drag the credibility of the league down. Look at college basketball's March Madness, could you picture how crazy a football tournment could be? It could even bring bigger TV ratings and crowds, which of course means more money.
For now, I personally agree with Utah being the top team right now. Doesn't 13-0 and beating other top teams (four ranked teams from what I understand) usually mean something in other football leagues? Thought so, those league needs a playoff no doubt.

What only 13 people are into college football on these forums? Let me try to stir-up the pot with this... If Notre Dame play the exact same schdule, same points, and outcome as Utah there would be no questions they would be ranked #1 and be in the championship game.... What say you?!!

Well the BCS is what makes College football so dramatic. I always look forward to the different bowl games. It would be cool if they had it where they still had the bowls, but they would have the BCS bowls playing for the championship and the other bowls playing for a consolation match with each other IMO.
