Hello, I am new at making halo maps and I have ran across an error that I cannot fix.

Here is the debug info :
01.24.09 10:54:53 sapien pc 01.00.00.0609 ----------------------------------------------
01.24.09 10:54:53 reference function: _write_to_error_file
01.24.09 10:54:53 reference address: 401b13
01.24.09 10:54:53 Couldn't read map file './sapienbeta.map'

I have googled solutions for this, and I have tried all of them and Sapien will still not load a scenario. It opens and closes as soon as I select the scenario. I have a single-core processor, and I have set Sapien to nearly every combination of run as win 2000, 98, me, and so on. I have successfully compilled two maps with tool, sidewinder and the tutorial. Sidewinder has a lightmap problem, its all red and stuff (at first I thought that was the problem), but the tutorial is perfect when I played it in CE. Does Sapien not open the tutorial? And how do I fix this problem? Also, where can I get the sidewinder bitmap so my lightmap wont look like crap? (does HEK+ have problems with extracting lightmaps?) So many nooby questions, and thank you for being patient with me.

are you in 32 bit color mode?

That's what comes up when Sapien starts - did you grab that from the bottom or the top of debug.txt?
