I'm not good at weapons but...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-20
Apparently an M20 is either
A) A scout car
B) A nuclear missile
C) A rocket launcher
D) An airplane
E) A pistol
Or this thing (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/af/M20fort_nelson.jpg).
So...
He's at least half wrong.

Sound like your friend only knows guns through airsoft and video games, because I have never heard of an Ar15 style weapon called an M20.

A) your friend is stupid
B) That is a toy which has features of an m16, M4a1 and an M4 mws, it is not an M4
C) AFAIK, and have observed, there are no M4's with M16 stocks produced. That defeats the purpose of an M4.

It appears to be an airsoft rifle so it may have inaccuracies. It looks like an M4 with an M16 stock but I'm going to throw out a guess that it's an M16A4.

This is what happens when you expose kids to guns without educating them about them first.
M16 + M4 = M20.

It is.
Just tell your friend that no one is right, its just a fucking airsoft gun that looks like an M4/M16 (M1/4 anyone?) and if you point it at your own dick, it'll be a real blow job well done.

M4s don't have full stocks, otherwise they would not be M4s. The whole point of an M4 is to be compact and a full stock defeats that goal, as Snaf said.
And for those who don't know, an M16A4 is the same as an M16A2 with the exception that the carry handle is mounted on a rail instead of being integral into the upper receiver. There are no short M16s, because those are M4s or CAR-15s...:downs:.
