Oh my god, this is brining back my noobish days from the start of working with Halo CE. It's been so long since I've messed with tool, I can't remember the work arounds for it. :(

So here's my noob question with tool and you all are gonna laugh at me. :(

My tool error is as follows:

Now before anyone starts chewing me out for not searching, I ran around google and Modacity looking for an answer. Saddly, the posts I managed to find on this site and places like gearbox and halo mods, didn't help at all because the people figured it out but didn't say how. I know I've worked around this too... so please help. :embarrassed:

Something is not textured, or you need to switch from using standard materials to multis or vice versa.

Apply a multimat to the thing (i think you did) and set up your materials

go into your model, and check all the mat ID's. If its a complicated model, i would just re-do all of the matID's. Also, if you're using ghost's exporter (version 1.0.1 to 1.0.3) you MUST convert to editable mesh. In 1.0.3, it will ADD a mesh modifier, but it isn't the same and the model will get screwed up.


I had these same problems when i started using max 2009 and having to use the exporter :d
