My drawing class is currently focusing on still life drawings. We just did one that consisted of nothing but boxes, cones, and spheres. This next one is a bit different. We need 5 objects, each somehow corresponding to one of 5 senses (touch, feel, look, taste, smell) all in 1 still life.

Here's where you guys come into play.

I need someone to help me come up with a picture for this. Like, i'm not saying draw it but get some objects together and get me a nice photograph to work off of. Anything abstract looking, or with odd shapes would be nice, as long as the 5 items all some how fit into the theme. I'm looking around my house and I honestly don't have anything too good to use in this still life. Even if I did, i don't have a decent quality camera to take a picture that I can take into class to work off of.

And if you can get some shadows on it, that would be amazing.

I'm no drawing expert... but.. doesn't drawing from an image kind of ruin the point of still life? lol

anyhow... best of luck... the best camera I have here is my laptop's webcam... so I doubt you'd want that... but.. umm...

I know you wanted touch and feel, but I decided to change it up a bit and add sound instead of either touch or feel... but that's just my thought on it....

a flashlight, a sock, an ipod, a cough drop, and a tablet... lol I dunno... it's random, but it's stuff that I could gather without leaving my seat.

I asked the same thing lol. My art teacher said that it doesnt matter its just that she wants us to be able to see a 3D picture from a 2D picture and recreate it on paper using graphite, but want's the picture to be a still life.

As of right now looks like i'll be using yours if nobody else helps lol.

Well... the point of still life is to be able to render 2D from 3D... not 2D from 2D

But that's just what I was taught... and what makes sense to me... Not that arguing about it here has any point, just... seems silly.

Anyhow, I'd be honored if you drew my sock and.. stuff. lol.
