I think it would be pretty cool if we had our own podcasts, with Map reviews, tool discussions, campaign discussions, world news, etc.

The people here (http://thevistaforums.com/index.php?showforum=88) do it, and their podcasts get a lot of downloads off iTunes

Personally I think a podcast would be great, but there isn't much to put into news, really. Nobody's doing much; we get a new CE map every now and then, con's working on a Left 4 Dead map, Mech is heading a Crysis total conversion, and that's about it. It's been like that for the past... what, 3, 4 months?

General gaming news/reviews, anyone can submit something with a few members deciding what goes in/everyone votes with some poor fool putting it all together.

Podcasts don't have to be huge only 10 minutes or so is plenty.

Oh and obviously some round table discussions through vent/TS/whatever we use.

I can help too.

I'm looking for actual Podcast stuff around. I once tried to host a podcast (even had everything set up). I just never actually found enough stuff to put into it. Maybe I still have some of the stuff laying around, like Mics, software, and even a server (to actually host the podcast).

Watch the Escapist. His videos don't use any ingame pictures at all, the only visual aid is a bunch of quick Photoshop pen drawings.

How about having a Podcast about the games we (the Modacity community) care about? Why not have it include Halo CE, Halo 3, Unreal Tournament, Crysis, TF2, Half-Life, and maybe others?

It's as good as dead to me, and it's dead enough that a podcast would fall on deaf ears. But that's only because I've been reflecting on all the awesome memories of playing New Mombasa with Nitros and Mrs. Doublefire and the other awesome legends of the CE community.

Why should we focus on one game though? We are a community of modders, why not make a podcast with that ideal? A general gaming podcast with a slight focus on modding and its aspects.

Yeah the former H2V is now pretty much playing TF2/L4D. But I'm supporting the idea of a podcast if it's about all the games our community likes.

This community has so much to offer in terms of skills, mods, ideas, and programming I think it would be a sin not to make some kind of weekly/bi-montly/monthly podcast.

I think a podcast would be cool if we had something to talk about. I dont think it should just be CE, but it could be about H3, L4D, TF2 and other games, which for some reason people haven't gotten through their heads yet.

I'd whip out my cracking-12 year old voice just for coolie (shutup im 15..... in a month....)

I'm going to dig this up from the grave and say that I really think that we should do this podcast. I have the necessary programs to do it with, and we could always host the podcasts themselves on Ghost's box.

Hit me up on skype (sdavis117) so I can test some of this stuff out.

Well give me a call when you find your mic, I'm just adjusting Audacity to get it to balance my voice and voices talking to me over skype, and I don't think robo-lady is cutting it.

Try using this program after everything is recorded:

It levels out the volume so everyone is at the same volume. Input files must be either .wav or .aiff though.
