So they expect you to pay over $3000 for 3DS Max and then pay another $400 for a perpetual license? Way to go Economy!

3DS max isn't a hobbyists program. It's an industry tool, hth.

No, I can get a license for as low as $99.99, not $3000....
It comes with a voucher for a $50 upgrade for 2010.

What's perpetual?
If autodesk is currently making a new 3ds max then I would go with the 13 month license.

perpetual mean unlimited, aka never expires. I cant get a 2010 license for like a year after it comes out. Just the way it works. I already bought the 13 month license.
