View Full Version : Ruddbux for crims

Literally just heard on the news that the $900 of ruddbux intended to stimulate the economy will be going to criminals as well. There is, predictably, an outrage in Parliament over this, but Labor actually tried to hose the fire down with the the extremely reassuring statement that 'only those who paid tax will get the stimulus money'. Oh, that makes it ok then!

When questioned what exactly those inside will be able to do to stimulate the economy?

'Well, they obviously can't spend the money to stimulate our economy...'

So when all is said and done, criminals who paid tax will be given the ruddbux just for the sake of it.

Doesn't it make you wish you lived in the states? Where the leaders would just say "no comment" and then go take a nap?

No, it makes me wish we'd elect a competent government for once.

Then I remember there's apparently no such thing.

Well, there is. Now please sign these papers into dictatorial slavery thus stripping all your rights away.
Seriously, the most successful governments are lead by a single figurehead, but the people suffer.

then it's not a successful government.

I think the crims cant even touch the money ross because of some obligation about the amount of money they have access too in their account.
i think it's going to the familys instead.

Peter Costello would ironically make a much better PM.

and yeah, I won't get the money cause I didn't file a tax return last year.

Jip'd. Ah well, I don't want their dirty fucking money. I probably would have spent it on overseas goods anyway.

If only someone would come along who wasn't in it for the total power, then they might actually do some good. Problem is, that's seldom how it works and also the reason the British created Parliament.

cool, then give up your centrelink.

That's different, heh

Its days like this Ross when i read up on just stupid fucking shit like this and the internet censorship that i think seriously about entering politics.

but first i'm gunna finish my trade, go to america for a few years working, and if i'm still keen to do it come back, study anthropology, economics and geo-politics then think about making a difference.
It just makes me sick the people we have to choose between, the turd on the left or the turd on the right.
Hell i'd even take a Pay cut and donate half my shit to charity if i got in.

i just wanna steer us away from these deranged fucks so badly... and it seems the only way to do it is to go into the belly of the beast.

Yeah pretty much. If there was someone who would do that, I'd be impressed. Of course, the free world would damn him, and his name would be Saddam Hussein, and then he'd be hung, and there'd be a big clusterfuck in the mid east...

Yeah, I'm tempted. The problem is that the way our system works, you have no choice but to have to run everything past the same lot of colossal morons currently running the show, so chances are you could have the ideal PM in charge and still end up with everything going down the shitter.

Or he can be one of those politicians who always fights for the right thing, the leader that represents the people instead of the government, and have the youth of your nation pull at his coat tails until something gets done. The thing about politics is that its like music: If there's something you want to do, something you want to represent, then do it.

The way our government works, you can't do a thing without majority support from the other polies. Public opinion only matters when it might influence the next election.
