So there's this new feature in the ATI catalyst control center which is supposed to allow you to set your onboard card to work alongside your dedicated one to boost your fps slightly in games.
Cool shit right?
Well I wouldn't mind finding out. Problem is it's grayed out for me and locked onto the Use for extended display mode. The only way for ATI catalyst to recognize it as an enabled adapter is to have a monitor plugged into it, otherwise it lists it as a disabled adapter.
Any ideas?

I believe you need a motherboard that supports it- do you know what kind of chipset you have on the mobo?

That's your graphics card, not a mobo chipset.

Says in his profile he's got a 3870, so I assume that the 3200 is his integrated chip. No clue why it doesn't work- is the mobo SLI (or whatever ATI uses) compatible?

That's his motherboard. I'm no expert on integrated peripherals, but I think the 780G chip-set does support Crossfire X (which is what this would be called, not to be confused with Quadfire and regular Crossfire).

I thought this stuff only worked with CrossFireX and the HD 4000-series.

My 3870 came with some crossfire cable in the box, don't think I need to use it for this since that shit is already on the motherboard. Of course I may just be totally off here.

Don't bother, there's hardly any power behind the 3200...

About how much is there?
Is there even enough to run CSS at 1280x1024 with all settings maxed except aa?

There's enough power for it to do full HD-decoding for Blu-Ray movies and the like.
