Well, I must say I'm surprised that we don't have one of these.
This thread here is for talking about Season 7 of 24, currently going on the...19th episode. Spoilers are okay, provided you use tags, and any theories about the remainder of the season are clear, but let's try to keep it civil and not have any of this "No, you're wrong," stuff unless it's justified.
That said:
[spoiler]Writing this season is spectacular. The twists and turns are really hitting home, and with that in mind...what was Tony fucking thinking when he murdered Larry Moss? Also, that Elisha Cuthbert is looking goooood :D

I have to say, I was surprised, but considering there like 5 more episodes left, I knew there would have to be some final twist here. It's hard to tell where Tony's loyalties lie, especially since he seems to often risk his life at Jack's every order.

Talking of risking his life, blowing up the Starkwood missiles was a bold move, but it further lends confusion as to what his motives are. But hey, such is 24 writing. Another thing I'm very impressed with is the acting this season, especially from Kiefer. That last episode where he was talking to Kim and said "Sweetheart I'm sorry...but you need to go." The sheer amount of pain in his voice was done perfectly. I'm liking Renee in this season too, and not just because she's smokin

I think he might be trying to get higher up. From the work he did in the beginning, he probably knew it extended much higher than the FBI thought. When he met the person who had the bio-weapon and they recognized each other, Tony couldn't blow the opportunity and let the person with the only available lead pass. But that's my $0.02.

I still think season 3 was the best season of 24 written. It was filled with twists and drama, and it ran up to the last second with action.
That said, I was happy with this season. It kept moving along and they didn't dwell on one thing to too many episodes. The only thing I was pissed at was the lack of a disaster. Sure, there was a plane crash, but it was so weak. In season 3, you had the virus outbreak in the hotel, several other virus locations ready to be detonated, Steven Saunders with Tony's wife, and Jack Bauer meeting Saunders' demands of putting a bullet in the head of CTU's head. And that was in the last few episodes.

That finale was awesome. Everything came to a really nasty head. Renee looks like she's going to really fuck up that dude, especially after her lil "what you can live with" chat with Jack while he was on the gurney.

Well there's two sides to that "what you can live with" chat. Maybe it's difficult to live with yourself for torturing a known terrorist, but could you live with yourself if the other people he is associated with get away and plan another attack?
