Update:
K so BeaverKweek is done and I've just run light maps on DangurCanyun and I'm having a dilemma. Where do I put the bomb spawn?

On the forerunner structure, because it's a lot easier for teams to grab the bomb. If you put it on the top most of the battles are going to be held in the halls and rooms of the map.

Well there needs to be a way for people who are driving to get the bomb too. If I put it up top then no one will ever drive on the map.

Add a teleporter from there to the FRG room in addition to the one leading to the ledge.

Yeah, I agree, seeing as you're gonna need to make new maps anyway, you might as well fix up a few things for gameplay purposes.

Randomly spawn between the two points (in the middle of the structure and outside).
Move the FRG, needler, and pistol somewhere too. Or leave one of them.

No FRGs. They get abused so bad by heavy noobs on that map. Rockets also have been moved to the bottom of that cliff instead of up by the door. Flamers removed from halls and put in place of FRG. No 2 teles if a team goes to get he bomb they will get split up by random tele.

I didn't mean have two exits to one teleporter entrance, I mean add a separate two way teleporter system in addition to the one between ledge and structure.

But then that other teleporter and the 2 bridges become completely obsolete AND I have to model and re-UVW that floor and wall of that room.

Also I don't like the idea of 2 teleporters next to each other in the center structure where the bomb spawns.

Halo 3 doesnt have a bomb pickup icon. Just use that option that takes the string from a string list instead, in the weapon_hud_interface.

That explains how to make a basic one and get it in game IIRC.
But to make it look like Bungie's bitmaps (for the sake of making it fit) what you need to do is get a high-res screenhot of the bomb (if it wasn't round, I'd tell you to get a side view) and use Photoshop (possibly GIMP?), Flash, or Fireworks (Fireworks is my tool of choice) to trace it with vectors. Use white lines and take the same color gray as the stock bitmaps' backgrounds.
Trace the outline and fill it with gray, then start tracing the little details, like the borders of bumps, screws, nooks and crannies, where color sharply changes, etc. It should look completely 2D while retaining the detail. Don't go too crazy, though. Zoom out to a level where it's close to the size of the normal icons and compare it to the stock bitmaps; adjust line sizes and colors accordingly to get it to match.
When you're set, rasterize it, put it on a black background, flatten it, and scale it down.

It would be hard to get it to look right though. Lining up the text and font and size...
