It's got me hooked just like House did, and I'm not ashamed to admit that the "we're only partners" relationship between Booth and Brennan makes me want to watch it even more to see what happens. I'm not usually the kind of guy that picks up on the romantic parts of a TV series, but this one is pretty damn funny imo.

While there are a few instances of the totally-impossible, it's usually because the writers needed to do it to get the story to move along. Most of what they do is factually based, but just unrealistic or infeasible right now (ie, current hologram-ish technology and 3d wire-projection displays, most of the physics simulations based on impact fractures could be done if you could get every last piece of information from scanning). The third thing isn't scientific bullshit, and most of them are tapping that. The lab itself isn't very super-high-tech, just the best available right now (aside from the stuff listed earlier).

@Pooky: ? Seeing as CSI was about "CSI" and Bones isn't even remotely about the actual investigations, I don't see how you can make the comparisons... Like, one of the episodes from last week wasn't about a death metal murder, it was about Sweets and his childhood torment, etc. etc.

OT: Fringe is great because the science side is so fucked up you're forced to ignore it anyway, so you end up watching just the show (I think that's why they don't make up crazy explanations for much of anything, as well).

Yes Fringe is an awesome show as well. I never liked X-Files very much, but I like to think that Fringe took the awesome parts from X-Files and then made the not-so-awesome parts awesome. Because it's so awesome.

Ghost Squad was an awesome show, but Channel 4 in the UK put it in a suicidal timeslot. It got cancelled after just seven episodes, probably so some shitty generic show could keep its primetime slot - it actually had an original and interesting plot, as well as a good cast. Right now I'm assuming that Bones Season 5 is going to be the wrap up, the way the story is going (got the Gravedigger, all plot and characters are developed, ect). Unless they introduce a mindfuck first episode that re-hooks the viewers.
