So I'm listening to a techno playist while playing halo and I've got to say... it like enhanced my skill or something because I was unstoppable.
Anyone else do this?

Mashing out some rock music helps me a bit, usually dont though as I try to concentrate, probably too hard.

But yeah rambo occurs with rock music.

TBh I'm usually pretty shit at games (I think so anyway).
I can get a fair bit better if i just zone out (Dano was raging hard one time on HPC when I was half asleep during a 1v1), but then I'm not good for much else (eg, talking in vent).

for halo pc, since i usually only play when my buddy plays too, its never really serious, but music can help a bit.
for gears 2, anything really intense helps me a hell of a lot

To be honest, no sound whatsoever helps me focus on playing. The sound doesn't really help me play anyway (locating people)

And i thought i was the only one who listened to rock music while playing FPS, nearly everyone else i know listens to R&B or rap apart from a select few personal friends who all listen to rammstein, soil or black sabbath.

i did techno, usually trance, so it has a continous beat, it helps sometimes,
but eventually i trying to get kills by each beat... and turns out meh...

Well I was listening to Basshunter at the time and yeah... those beats were insane but sometimes i listen to rock.
What I don't understand is how hip hop/rap works? That would just distract me so much.

Oh there was this one song that i used to listen to when I played but i don't remember what the name was but I do know it was from lazy town... I think...
it was the 2nd song in the CMT 10-1-2006 beta gameplay video which for some reason I cannot seem to find on the internet anymore. Anyone have that song or vid...

If I listen to music when playing it's propably something constant yet interesting - I prefer drum'n'bass over techno ;) Check out Desimal (R.I.P.)

But yeah rambo occurs with rock music.think its because the music helps people concentrate...my playlist consists of a few random songs and it also includes songs from a soundtrack that M00kz so kindly gave a friend of mine who gave me it..

for some reason "Just ad nausem" and "Status Quo Show" kinda make you want to storm the enemy regardless of your well being :P

I listen to classical when I play halo 3 sometimes. But that's only halo 3. I NEVER listen to music while playing cod4 though. I need the volume up real loud so I can hear bitches footsteps behind me so I can spin knife them.
