E3 is only a month away (June 1-4), and personally, I'm can't wait! Basically this thread is for speculation as to what you think the big three (Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony) are going to announce/show off during there press conference, as well as what games you can't wait to hear about.

For me, I'm mainly focused on what Microsoft has to say at this years E3, especially with the rumor of a full-body motion/audio sensing peripheral (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/05/02/rumor-motion-sensing-360-peripheral-spotted/) for the 360 floating around the web. I also am hoping to hear some info on the following games as well:


Halo 3: ODST
Dead Rising 2
Lost Planet 2
Brutal FUCKING Legend
The Beatles: Rock Band
Duke Nukem Forever (Most likely not :()
Half-Life 2: Episode 3
Portal 2
Any other unannounced games that will hopefully get me hyped.

Microsoft: Music, movie, and photo features... guest starring games. If Halo 3 ODST gets more than a trailer, I'll be astounded. Not that they need it, I mean, who cares? The media center is obviously why people buy this console. Oh, and the PC thing? Heh, we gave up on that years ago.
Nintendo: Info on stuff that was supposed to be released months ago (i.e. MotionPlus). Cue Reggie fumbling through questions about why, with the fuckloads they've been making, they seem to have so much trouble getting things done both on time and correctly.

I want to see assassin's creed 2, and the new crysis games on consoles. Also, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, Singularity,Dead Space 2, Call of duty 6, and this would be so awesome, A REAL quake 5, and bioshock 2 (interesting facts, I googled it and found that Bioshock uses a VERY heavily modified unreal engine 2.5 engine with havok, and so will bioshock 2.)

If you mean making more than just Pokemon games, then yeah, I agree with you. But still, Pokemon is still a pretty big franchise, and it's still pretty darn good (though I must admit the new pokemon look silly for the most part). In plus, it seems like this is what they're doing now. Making a new game, then a remake (Ruby-Sapphire-Emerald, then Fire Red-Leaf Green. Diamond-Pearl-Platinum, Gold-Silver remakes),

Its actually meant to steal the game builds being showcased. Neighborhood is the XDK program used to communicate to the development kits and acsses their hdds. Therefore we could extract game builds from them.

This is looking like a good year for the 360. Even with Goat's above glitch, you have to admit, Natal already beats the Wii at what it was supposed to do upon release, and still has yet to do (yeah, keep pushing MotionPlus you idiots). MGS and FF for 360 takes out a pretty healthy chunk of Sony's good franchises as well. If Sony doesn't have major releases this year, they're fucked, and if Nintendo doesn't finally make use of their own franchises, they're boned, too. Metroid Prime Trilogy is great, but it won't be enough.

However, I'd like to point out that it's a good year for the 360. I can't quite say the same for the PC. The list of PC games shown from what I gathered from blogs:
- CoDMW2
- L4D2

Honestly, the only other games that we know of were previously announced (BioShock and Assassin's Creed sequels), and they're not all going to be out this year. Even if it's a L4D sequel of all things, at least Valve is still thinking of us.

Edit: That I missed. I got into the conference just after Halo: Reach, so I was stuck reading a blog for a lot of it. So uh, that explains the lack of PC attention, thanks.

I can wait for Ubisoft, and I can play it the 'me' way by saying "fuck EA, nothing they pump out will ever be good EVER". Fucking SecuROM.

Well that and they can make a very consistently good product. I really didn't like Halo 3 for some reason compared to Halo 1 and even 2, but it was so good compared to other games that I still played 120 hours on it, easy (and then I sold it for Gears 2, which I later traded for Fallout 3).

Hmm, I'm just speculating here, but maybe Halo: Reach will be a class based shooter? Looking at the background image of the bungie page, it shows on the bottom a few different types of soldiers with different weaponry. There looks to be a heavy-type guy and a sniper. I'm sure you can see more but I cba to look at the image right now.

Thats just speculating, but its possible and might be very cool.

Anyways, Microsoft and Sony's motion techology looks spectacular. My god the possibilities. I knew when I first saw the Wii that it was just the beginning, and other companies would improve on what they've done.

I was completely blown away by Sony's conference though. Their line-up of upcoming games, exclusive and not, along with their motion capture technology, could very well be the revival of the PS3. This may give me a reason to get a PS3 in the next 2-ish years. Uncharted 2 looks very good, I've never played the first but now I'd like to. Not to mention GoWIII, my god.

E: And that Modwhatever Racing game looks really cool, like a Trackmania on steroids, which is a very good thing if you ask me.

I knew they would come out with another one... While I personally dislike the new Halo games (I go old school so yea ;)), I really hope that Halo doesn't turn into the new Mario... I mean honestly, Paper Halo anyone? Not to say that the first Paper Mario wasn't any good, cause it was.

Pretty much this. All the Halo games so far have still been fun, so I'm not too worried about the series getting stale just yet.

Because they are making Halo: Reach. A new Halo game. Would that mean they will be allowed to make future halo games which involve the master cheif, as in Halo 3 he is drifting towards a planet, whilst being a sleep.. so obviously that is an open ending.

Well considering the battle for Reach took place before the events in Halo, it's fair to say it's a prequel.

Well, the Covenant didn't arrive on Reach until the events in the book, which is where Reach was destroyed. Seeing as there is a Covenant Elite silhouette on the promo, it seems safe to say that's what is going on.

Nah it's obviously about pre-invasion of Reach where it's a magical land and everyone is super happy on the colony world where you build things to make people happy.

Grrrr, I wish people would stop saying this. It's a Spartan with the EOD(?) helmet and awesomely bulky armour.

Yet everything in the trailer points to what going on as not Covenant. We know about when the Covies attacked, and how it went down. There's no way to explain how there's no visible Covie ships, explosions on the planet (plus the fires in spots where there are no explosions), no Plasma bombardments, and an accurate Slipspace jump past the defense platforms which wasn't possible for either side pre-first strike, so unless the trailer is bat shit bullshit, I'm leaning towards a Forerunner, Precursor, or a new faction we haven't heard about. My best bet is Forerunner, seeing as the explosions on the surface could be some kind of defense system, which also resulted in something using forerunner tech to do the accurate slipspace jump.
