Before anyone asks, Yes its in a cave.

NEED A GROUND TEXTURE HERE! I haven't finished setting up lights and a lot of UV's are needing to be re done but its almost ready for a beta test.

1 notable thing about this map is the linked bases. While the bridge is a short run between bases its fucking suicide to use in most situations. Running down the center bridge leaves you open to fire from all 4 sniper spots. The second root to take is around the side and over the rocket base. Also you can traverse the river (which I haven't actually added in yet) or you can take the underground passage to the cliffside on the back of the map.

Anyways need someone to paint me a quick ground texture.

Also open to comments and changes since its not done yet.

so in the maps the assualt rifle is a bit more powerful?

No this is just another map. High ground still isn't finished it needs a new ground texture and a little remodeling. (add a cave off the upper base on the inside wall)

Also define "sketchy" I think it looks nice. Custom btw.

Also yes AR is slightly more powerful.

The covenant shields placed side by side everywhere look a bit silly, why not just make a new, larger shield and use that instead?

I suck as modeling stuff like that. I can do geometric stuff and buildings but I haven't ever really learned to model anything else.

Also I've updated the map with new ambient lights to make it looks better AND I've added water waterfalls ripples and water effects to the map. This map is soooo wet.

But still NEEDZ MOAR GROUND TEXTURE ARTIST!!!!!!! Please guys I just need someone to paint me a ground texture. I already UV'd the ground I just need a painter!

By sketchy I meant how the clouds reached to the bottom of the water, just didn't seem right in my opinion thats all. Either way, the map looks great, keep working on hard on this map pack, its looking nice,

Some one turn the black in this image (http://www.freewebs.com/infernosk8terstuff/ripple.TIF) to alpha in photo shop please. Fucking gimp destroys the diffuse when you alpha so I can't do it. <:mad:>

Also can you make it gradient out too black more seamlessly?

The map is going to be covenant themed (styled after damnation) And a few of areas in the map are going to be removed/changed. This is just a floor layout I'm going to model detail in after I've got the map laid out.

Heck, I haven't done a single map and I know you can't just port a map form game to another without any (big) changes.

How about you, I don't know, finish one of your other maps?

Underground is pretty much done besides the textures and a few minor lighting changes. Along with all the other IMP maps. Highground needing a few changes and vertigo STILL not being done <:mad:>

Neutral bomb is being uploaded to HM today and epsilon is all like wtf. Oh and yoyov2 is being lighted.


Don't do a map from CoD.

Look when I say I'm remaking a map from CoD don't take me literally. I'm making some huge changes to it and I really think the basic district layout will make some good matches. Halo 1 doesn't have any maps like this but I would compare this too ghost town from halo 3. Many smaller areas linked together within one large area.

You guys will get more renders soon.

edit- I suck to much at modeling covie stuff. I'm going to leave it alone for now and come back to it if I feel like it later.
