I have an old PC, and I put Linux on it awhile back. Now that I want a server for testing, I have no idea how to set it up using Linux. I'm pretty sure I have 1.07 on it, but IDK about the dedicated.

So, can anyone do a step by step on how to get a dedicated running?

If you want anymore information, feel free to ask, whatever you need i'll try to get.

How about a little WINE (http://www.winehq.org/)?

Assuming you know how to use Linux just fine, you can do what sdavis said and install the server app via Wine, it's pretty straightforward. However, there's not much point using Wine to run a Windows server on Linux, when you could just use Windows...

Anyway, if you do, here's a tutorial: http://www.linux-gamers.net/smartsection.item.90/howto-run-a-halo-server-using-wine.html
