what the hell fullscreen games

im not quite sure how to accurately describe this, so bear with me please

the vast majority of my full screen games, like oblivion and farcry 2, have this issue where the windows curser will somehow get off of the fullscreen window, so when i click, it tries to minimize the game and how the desktop. well, oblivion and farcry 2 dont like being silenced in such a manner, and thus freeze up when that happens. alot of the times i can see my windows curser (as opposed to the in game curser) appearing on the edge of the screen while im playing the game. clicking at that point will cause the whole desktop thing to happen.
my question is why/how the hell does the curser find its way off of a full screen game window and how do i fix/prevent it?

Try running the games without Xfire running. From what I've read, (I had the same problem with Oblivion) it's a problem with Xfire's ingame overlay.

I'm not sure what causes it, but the mouse offsetting issue is annoying. I think it has something to do with not doing fullscreen at full resolution or alt tabbing out of the game or something.

yeah alt tabbing is wierd. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. in oblivion, for me at least, sometimes i get frozen in one spot and can only look around. for farcry 2, the game just freezes.
but then sometimes alt tabbing works without any problems :confused:

ill try closing out xfire, or disabling ingame.

Most of Bethesdas games do that. They hate being crushed into that tiny task bar for some reason.
