View Full Version : [HALO 3] [MAP] Overload (beta testing)

So, I've been working on a variant of The Pit that takes the given combat area and prods the combat flow into a more dynamic and open-ended direction. Overload started out with just a pair of gravity lifts that take you from the Plasma Rifle ledge to the top of either respective sniper tower, which immediately solved one of The Pit's largest problems - immensely unapproachable areas. Everything else sprung forth pretty effortlessly from there, with every new scenery addition (often prompted by Pooky, his friend Tobi Sings, or p0lar_bear) streamlining the map's flow. Further population and tweaking continued over the course of a few weeks of alpha testing, with each and every item getting more than enough scrutiny to validate its inclusion.

So, with all that out of the way, who wants to come and give it a spin? My gamertag is sever323 - add me and I'll accept and invite you. The map can also be downloaded HERE (http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3fileid=79070944).

Map sucks.

You suck.

...kidding. Save for last night's bullshittery, Overload is the most fun I've ever had on The Pit, and I'm pretty sure everyone else will think the same.

...well, except for lasering birds out of the sky when off-host and watching them smoke instead of die. :v:

tried it...people leave or bitch then leave

this is the biggest reason why i could get NO ONE to test out ship 2 ship...and when i did it ended up being with some little kids someone invited...and those kids just camped inside their base and ruined the fun

No, they camped inside the base because they could. Make a map that doesn't allow players to break your preset rules.

Go talk about your own failed map in its thread. This map has so far received nothing but very to extremely positive reviews from some of Modacity's harshest critics.
