Rams is going to let me host all 9 maps on the server. I'm making fixes/changes atm but I hope to have the maps uploaded by 4:30 central time (USA) and we should get started around 6:00 or 7:00 (same timezone durrr)

Fog was fine, there just was nothing walking players could do.

Yeah personally I hate the Fail Rod and it really just seemed like a covie rip off of a rocket launcher so I changed it. Also it is a very effective anti-vehicle gun so its very useful on some maps.

Like, Zoinks Scoob! I've given out too much rep in the last 24 hours, sorry.

Anyway, completely motherfucking awesome. I went from a 1:13 k/d ratio on substation (half those deaths were on purpose, plus it was 2 on 1) to a 1:4 k/d ratio (after everyone left but Inferno).
All the maps I played were perfectly balanced, even though we didn't get to much playing and more find-Inferno's-gun-with-the-shader-change, which were hidden about as hard as the skulls in H3.

You had to charge up the fuel rod gun right? Yeah, I had no idea about that and just sat there saying wtf is wrong with it. That pissed me off when I was trying to take out codebrain when he was in a ghost. I ended up getting sniped by wolf after like a five minute ghost battle with codebrain.

Snowtrap has to be the best Sandtrap port yet.

I must say though that none of the (rip-off) maps felt like they were the right size. The Pit and Lockout were too big, and Snowtrap felt a little small.

As for your small map (I forget the name), that map was frantic. We need no shield shotguns up that maps ass now.

Pipeline had too much fog, and not enough cover.

I didn't get a chance to play any of the other maps.

Lockout is to exact scale. I'm 100% sure. Sand trap feels right to me but I can still scale it since it's still being modeled. High ground is not a rip off its just a similar map with a similar name <:p> Omega station also feels right to me and is to far a long to change.

I really need suggestions for snow trap changes since I'm drawing a blank in creativeness for that map.

Oh and I want to know which maps were the best.

ok well I watched your new trailer... Gameplay isn't old now lol.
But still, maps look poorly textured and modeled, and some of them were fun I remember, others on the other hand like the pit and the swampy map weren't, imo.

Gawd. I had people say the pit is awesome and some people say it sucks. Same goes for every other map.

I need suggestions about what to change not just "gawd i hate dis map". Please?
Also I've heard from other people that my models and textures resemble that of the original MP maps which is what I am shooting for. Not overly detailed but still pleasant to look at. High ground needs new texture badly but the rest of the maps (NOT SNOWTRAP) look fine to me.

K, so, I played Substation and Amplitude. No offense, but both were boring imo. My friend uploaded it to my server so me and and another friend could play. I have some suggestions for both of the maps.
Amplitude -
Boring because it was just a lockout remake... And it was kinda boring.
Add some portals inside so I don't see snow drifting around threw the walls..
I don't know what else to say about this map.. Would probally be more fun if I had more people while playing.
Substation -
Extremely boring the entire time, lots of crap wrong with it..
Ghosts? Really :|
I threw a grenade and it exploded flying blue dirt everywhere.
The fuel rod gun. Ew. If your going to make it that horrible to use, just get rid of it all together and use the rl. When I charged it the actual gun got in front of my hud. it took forever to recharge so I could use it again too, alot longer then I expected. The water's set up wrong too. The scenery covy crates and sheilds were way over used too. Gameplay got old after a while too. For the outsde I suggest adding another path below the metal bridge that attachs to both sides under it. Create a tunnel from the middle of the path up to the middle. would strech out gameplay a little more.

Welp, there's my suggestions on two of the maps..

That said, you need to quit being a pompous little dickweed, and shut the fuck up.
Try to be mature, and try a thing called posiitve feedback, especially when the whole point of him doing this is because he is nice enough to give yall a chance to play it and find and tell him the things you dislike, hence the word BETA in the fucking title.

The water is set up wrong. That is correct. The build I played the water and black streaks going threw it and the when you shot it nothing happened, (water never poped up) Its because you have a # in the water's material in max, and it dosent have fog. Take the # and the black streaks should go away and add fog to the water. Portals to the outside will keep the player from seeing the fog outside, I think.
Sounds good your going to put the rl on the map.

And how are all those other errors I posted wrong? They happened to everyone else in the server so, unless there meant to be like that I think there errors. I never said everyone didn't like the gameplay, I said I thought the gameplay was boring, but thats my opinion.

Go put a fog plane on the map and see what happens. I can't add water effects without breaking vehicle and weapon pass through (besides adding a object like a biped but I hate messing with biped tags so no)

Game play is a perspective thing. I like maps that have a combination of very close up interior fights using light weapons (shotguns A-rifles plasma weapons) and ranged fights using the ranged/heavy weapons (sniper pistol [lol heavy pistol] and rockets)

Substation has a good combination of the center fights consisting of mainly rockets and snipers and pistols (rocket were set in place of frod in game type for a few rounds) and good interior and base fights of needlers assault rifles and the ocasional plasma rifle (im the only one who picks it up :rolleyes:)

And if you don't like lockout your a fag. It's a fun map that is suprising well layed out and complex.

Blue dirt has been stated many times before.


Create a tunnel from the middle of the path up to the middle.Nice use of words.

You obviously care more for large maps since that is what you have designed so far. I am personally more of a fan of smaller maps as you can tell frome the amount of small and medium size maps I have made.

Also remember you are not god of gameplay. Everyone perfers there own type of game and maps. I love guardian in H3 while many people despise that map and I hate isolation but some people love it.

I never said I hated Lockout, I said it was boring with the number of people I had in the server at the time which was 2.
And no I'm not god of gameplay, everyone has there preferences on what they like and dislike in a map, but seriously Substation is small, there's really no need for ghosts there just going to clutter the map up and they didn't seem like much fun.
I've created various small maps, and large ones, go look up my name on halomaps.
I never said the maps were bad, I just posted the stuff that I did not like in those maps, and what I thought could be fixed.

Let me add a few things since I was in a rush to post last night.
Ghost was set to non default ( i think ) and was just for scale testing etc. I should have removed it. The black streaks in the water are probably a problem with your computer/version of windows/gfx card. Also the only maps I've seen you make are large ones so I assumed. And even if you didn't say they were bad you sure as did imply it with the whole "I'm so superior" posting style.

Also I re-read my last post and I sound like a asshole :p

Lockout sucks. It's a needlessly convoluted map made for obsessive players who like memorizing every single sightline, grenade bounce, and jump.

I dislike headlong to many people camp sniper due to halo 2's god awfully overpowered sniper. The camp sniping leads to extreame flag and bomb stalemates and the vehicles are no good due to the 2 or 3 rocket spawns.


Good team slayer map though.

No. I like it because it has a wonderful flow about it. All areas of the map are easily accessible either by the standard walking route or by creative jumps that one can find. This adds depth to the map. The same principle applies to guardian in halo 3. It is a open map that flows very well and has good mid and short range combat.

The only time i used the shotgun in halo 2 was when a guy with an energy sword was lunging at me. You have to time it right though.
