...in Crysis?

A GTX285 GX2 that reads to the system as a GTX295 and works with all the drivers.

You into frame rates? No, we mean are you frickin' bonkers over watching your rig hit triple digits in a Crysis timedemo? If you're still nodding "yes," have a gander at what'll absolutely have to be your next buy. The ASUS Mars 295 Limited Edition is quite the unique beast, rocking a pair of GTX 285 chips that are viewed by Windows as a GeForce GTX 295. All told, you're looking at 240 shader processors, a 512-bit GDDR3 memory interface, 32 total memory chips and 4GB of RAM. Amazingly, the card is totally compatible with existing drivers and is Quad-SLI capable, and if all goes to plan, it'll actually peek its head out at Computex next week. Rest assured, we'll do everything we can to touch it.

My 260 and 8800GT on PhysX maxes out my processor as it is... to get this (@1680x1050) I'd need to cascade upgrade.

I'd need a new case just to house one of those beasts. I want Sextuple SLI too.

Might buy it, though it's probably going to be insanely pricey. If it's on par with two GTX 285's for cost (approx $800) I'll get one.

It should be about 800 USD

RIGHT WHEN I THINK I HAVE TOP OF THE LINE SHIT IT TURNS OUT TO BE OBSOLETE ¯\:mad:/¯

Eh, I'll look into it if I can manage to garner enough funds; my single GTX 280 has served me well enough so far, though, so I probably won't end up getting this until it's also obsolete.

When you said that, one thing came to mind. Agamemnon.

Hmm

Four of these gets how much fps on crysis at 1920x1200 with the ultra high gfx mods with everything maxed out to the max?

wasn't he the one who wrongly said something about the 8800 GTX being two cards on one board (a la the classic Geforce 7950GX2)

Triple digit frames in Crysis? Me want...but the price makes it off limits.

Rofl, Quad SLI...hell, I can't even afford one of them :S

I'm not going to believe that these powerful beasts are going to be under $150 in the next 5 years (but they are, as trends probably show).

It's about time they used the GDDR5 memory D:

No, that was me being mislead by some idiotic forum poster on the nVidia forums. Goat fucking milked me for it but whatever

No, he was the one who said that PCI-E and AGP are interchangable. (IIRC)

Which is why they sell so well...

Every enthusiast is going to buy this thing when it comes out, and that's really who it is aimed at. This will also further nVidia's lead in the performance department, though I suspect the HD5870 X2 will debunk it later within the next 2 months or so.

They're already in the 5000 series?

They haven't even announced the HD 5000 series so I doubt the 5870X2 is coming anytime soon. The X2 versions don't usually come around until a month to 2 months after initial release of the HD X870 cards.

End of June. Close enough.

Also, yeah, the X2 does come out later, but you know that this doppleganger GTX285 GX2 is still going to be nVidia's unofficial flagship when it does, unless they get the GTX380 out the door at the same time.

So apparently only 1000 of these will be made:
