what is this flower?

i dont know what kind of botanical experts we have here at modacity, but i found this flower at my friend's house and i dont know what its called.
can anybody tell me what this flower is? sorry for the shittacular pic. its from my PC webcam.

An alien flower?

if it helps, the flower was growing in a pot outside of my friend's house. he and i live in the new england area of the united states. i think its an annual flower.

Its a fuschia. I got a fuschia plant in the back garden.
