The explosion isn't in yet. I know that's probably what you all wanted to see most, but what's there is (imho) pretty good. All of this is heavily WIP, of course.
Watch in HQ or die.

Functionally, it's identical to the H1 FRG. I don't intend to change that; like the Dark Energy Rifle, it's merely intended to be a cosmetic change. As for development, the weapon is actually pretty much finished; the explosion will be the hardest part. I've got a few basic ideas, but it'll take a while to put that into practice.
Per usual, keep an eye on the thread for any updates.

Instead of white, use more gray. It looks too cartooney, what with all of the contrast.

I believe Mass is already working on a map with my plasma shit in it. I can't map to save my life, but now that I think about it, maybe I'll stick my shit in Blood Gulch or Hang'em or something and have a public test.
Explosion still in progress, and very slowly at that. It's hard creating a nice boom from scratch, kids.

I'm down with that. Definitely do a small map though. These weapons aren't hit scan for the most part so a big map would be a pain in the ass.

I'm not a fan of all those orbs dripping down after each shot. It was cool with the PR, but it's kinda of silly looking.

This plus less arc, because it'd be anticlimactic if a charged shot fell as soon as a frg bolt.

You guys are free to change it once released, of course.
Explosion is almost done. Just need to add some electricity (harder than it sounds, believe me.) After that, I'll get some feedback, edit what's necessary, do a quick tag clean up, make a trailer, and release it.
Unfortunately, my dad is having his 60th birthday tomorrow and I'll be off visiting him until Monday, and I don't have all my work on my laptop, so if I don't get it finished by the end of today (which is unlikely) you guys probably won't see a release until midway through next week.

The... "bubbles" (or whatever you've got going around it) of dark energy are too clustered around the projectile. I would either reduce their density or make them spread out more.

eh, I dont really like the explosion. i think it should be one large ball, with a few smaller ones, and some other things, make it look more... chaotic? It looks kinda weak imo, its probably the bubbles.
