So, I just recently bought this drawing tablet, and received it today, ordered last Monday night. 2 days to ship, 40 bucks, 8 by 6, and I am very pleased with it so far. Thought for the people that don't have these, I would give a link to the great deal.

Looks nice, but how reliable is it in the long run? Don't know how stable Genius products are because I never really heard of the company before.

Genius tablets are of an inferior quality to Wacoms :3

Honestly, I wouldn't know, never owned one and have never read any reviews. Wacom is just known for being "the best", but their stuff also costs more. My Bamboo (which is smaller than that tablet) cost $70, no mouse or anything.

This is what I was getting at. For $60 regular price, this doesn't seem to be that great of a tablet. Although, the reason Wacom tablets are probably more expensive is because your "buying the brand name". Therefore, Genius tablets could be of the same quality, but still be cheaper just because it's not Wacom.

Anyhow, reading the reviews on Newegg and it has it's pro's and con's. Personally, If I were to get a tablet, I'd get a Wacom, just because I know I'm getting a quality tablet.

Does it take a Genius to run one?

Seriously though, looks like a really good idea. Wish I had the money.

I have one. I've never tried a Wacom or anything, but I love it. Very smooth, had it for about 2~ years now no problems(slight driver issue with vista; it wants to use its own tablet drivers rather than the Genius ones.)

I just recently lost the pen for it though, thought I may try get a Wacom and compare.

Another note; it's a lot bigger than the Wacom tablets for the same price unless they're much older models. Take that as you may, I for one like the larger size.

I have to find my box for the exact model but you get the idea.

I for one read that people don't considerably like the large sized pads, they like them medium sized, and by far I agree, it feels very comfortable. As for the durability, read some of the comments on the page, the reviews almost tell everything you need to know when you're buying the product.

It makes texturing a whole lot easier, and it's useful for other things.
