No, a fan made the Guard Dog. Much like that old Spy update by Kaanin. (http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=1704) The letter seems to be sort of a nod from Valve to pyanodon.

What, so the guard dog would be an engi unlockable that replaces the sentry?

If the weapon it has is anything like a sentry gun, the game will be well and truly fucked.



Edit: on second thought, if the gun had the same knock-back of the sentry but the damage capability of, say, the Snipers sub-machine gun, I think it wouldn't be too bad.

The only problem with the dog idea is that it doesn't have an achievement for getting assist kills with the soldier, titled the Screaming Beagle.
